Health Problems

The Shih Tzu has a few different health related issues; Allergies (food, contact, & Inhalant), eye problems, as with other small dogs dental issues is a concern, but can be minimized with proper care. Also breathing problems, due to there oddly shaped head and naval cavity.

Exercises

Unlike most breeds, they can stay pretty fit on their own and are pretty satisfied living a in home life style. They still need exercise, but can get by with way less than most dog breeds. They are a favorite for many apartment occupants, do to their small size and capability to live a happy life indoors.
