The West Highland White Terrier, better known as the "westie" is a small sturdy dog. They originated in Scotland in the 20th century. The westie only comes in white, any other color is a fault in this breed. It's said this white color was bred into this breed ,because Irish hunters had trouble telling there dog apart from foxes and other small prey, the white trait helps them stand out.
